What is Shiplap Cladding?

Shiplap is a traditional style of timber cladding with a smooth finish and overlapping or interlocking edges to create a waterproof facade. What makes shiplap cladding unique is the wide ‘scoop’ detail on the top edge of each board, rather than a shadow gap. We machine shiplap external cladding in a range of stable timber species, including cedar, larch, and other dried timber species.
