Oak sleepers are ideal for use in the garden to create garden borders or raised beds.
Oak sleepers are naturally durable and do not need the toxic preservatives that are used to treat reclaimed railway sleepers, thereby making them safe for use in areas where children or pets may be present.
A 9th Century poem by the Scholar Monk Walafrid Strabo confirms, “To grow your herbs well and good, your should plant them in raised beds with oak sides.”.
New oak sleepers are priced at £10.50 per metre, plus VAT.
